Pokemon - I wonder "why"s, "what"s and "how"s
I may be an avid Pokemon fan, or rather, a Pokemaniac, but weird questions
still pop up when I watch the series every now and then. Everyone should
have at least watched an episode of Pokemon... and wondered about some of
these questions long ago... back when Pokemania is everywhere here in the
Philippines... Here are some questions I have thought of that might let you
wonder, or have laugh at. I'll still think of other questions and aside
from Pokemon, maybe explore and ask other questions about other cartoons/
animes/ TV shows around... I wish you can comment about it on my tagboard!
Hope you enjoy! :P
I wonder why...
>> All the Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys exactly look alike even though if
they are only cousins or a cousin of another cousin. If they get married,
do all their girl children become Nurse Joys or Officer Jennys? How can
each Nurse Joy/ Officer Jenny distinguish the Nurse Joy/ Officer Jenny from
Pewter City to that of Indigo Plateau? Other people (Well, those that are
neither Joys nor Jennys...) cannot even tell them apart! o_O
>> All the professors surnames are names of plants (examples: Professor
Oak, Professor Ivy, Professor Elm)... What is it with the big deal with
plant names?!?! Look at Gary Oak, he has also decided to be a Pokemon
researcher too!!! It's as if they (those with plant surnames) are destined
to study Pokemon... -_-
>> Almost all of the Pokemon Gym Leaders have their names somehow similar/
connected to what Pokemon they use in battles... Another freakish thing...
(examples: Brock sounds like rock and Brock specializes in rock types.
Misty is like mist and mist is vaporized water, and Misty specializes in
water types. Giovanni sounds like geo which is another name for earth and
Giovanni specializes in ground types; take note hat earth is another name
for soil/ ground. o_O
>> Each region (examples: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn) has a certain theme for
their cities/ towns/ special places? (examples: Kanto has colors as its
theme (Saffron City, Lavander Town, Cinnabar Island). Johto has flowers as
its theme (Azalea town). Hoenn has made up names of something that sounds
familiar as its theme (Fallarbor Town, Slateport City, Petalburg City))
They are sooo... organized... -_-
>> Ash never grows old... It really freaks me out... He's like, ten
forever!!! I was once so much younger than him, but now, I'm way older... I
can't believe he never grew old after traveling to (presently) 3 regions
beating at least 24 gym leaders and having adventures and intermissions and
trainings and league championships in between... And he doesn't grow old!!!
If I'm already 25 and the Pokemon series still has new series with Ash as a
ten-year-old kid, I'm really gonna freak out. Then, I'd already wish that
I'm a cartoon!!! ^_^
>> Pokemon don't seem to die. Take for example this Dragonite and his
trainer. (By the way, this story was taken from somewhere in the Pokemon:
Master Quest season) This dragonite's trainer, a gym leader from long time
ago made a place called "Dragon's Holy Land". Dragonite, because he loved
his trainer so much, took over to take care of this place for at least a
hundred years... It is just so freaky... I've already seen old Pokemon and
Pokemon graves, but I've never heard of a Pokemon die before... o_O
I wonder what...
>> Kind of meat do people and Pokemon eat. As you can observe, people and
Pokemon alike obviously eat food, and at some special cases, you'll see
them eating steak and fish aside from rice cakes which are of totally
endless supply. In all my years of watching Pokemon, I've never seen any
other animal/ creature, aside from humans, that is not a Pokemon. I've also
never seen Pokemon kill other Pokemon in order for them to eat or
anything... Tell me, where does all the meat come from?!?! o_O
I wonder how...
>> Trainers manage to wear only one piece of clothing throughout their
journey. As far as I'm concerned, Ash changes his underwears, but... and I
mean but... how can he manage wearing a single piece of clothing throughout
6 (as far as I'm concerned) seasons of Pokemon. I'm sure I saw Ash's mom
only hand Ash "one" set of clothes. Oh, the hygeine!!! (Hahaha... that last
sentence was an exaggeration.) ^_^
>> Team Rocket manages to stalk on Ash and his pals... Won't they ever get
lost following them? They are just... well... weird... -_-
>> Team Rocket builds all their crazy Pokemon catching machinery. If they
keep on following Ash, and they are always broke, how on earth can they fix
their balloon that always gets popped and get the materials they need for
their never-ending costumes and those they need to build those
electromagnetic/ electric-proof/ anti-escape contraptions of theirs (which
by the way, always end up as total flops). ^_^
