Waiting sure was worth it!!!
I may have not told you this... but did you know I was heart-broken last March because I didn't get that birthday present that I really like? Yes, I was really in tears when I found out that the store which sold those Pokemon gold-plated trading cards (a collector's item, mind you) closed that Sunday after my birthday... when I decided that I want it as a birthday present. I insisted that we go to Robinsons Galleria, only to find out that I will be heart-broken afterwards...
But you know what? The past is past. God gave me more than Pokemon gold-plated cards. I was blessed afterwards with knowing people who have the same passion for Pokemon like me, Pokemon being able to air in the Philippines again (I waited for 4 or 5 years for that to happen.), and also, after that incident, my Pokemon collection continued to grow 25% more (and is still growing). ^_^ I finally got over that heart-breaking (Yes, I know it's just Pokemon, but that was really heart-breaking for me...) experience.
But this trip to Robinsons a while ago let me suddenly remember that gold-plated trading card when I saw that the shop hadn't actually closed, it was just relocated to another level! I was so happy... I knew that I might still have the chance of getting that gold-plated trading card, so I asked my dad to go with me there...
I looked around and about in the shop. They said that it (gold-plated trading card/s) was already sold out. Okay... then it's not for me. My dad said beforehand that if it was for me, it will be there to wait. Of course, I still looked around, there might be some Pokemon stuff still left there anyway. Why not just take one last look?
I found some Pokemon stuff. Yehey! That disappointed feeling of mine suddenly turned to happiness when I saw a Butterfree drinking glass and a Pokemon pillow case! "Okay God, maybe that gold-plated card was not for me, but thank You that you gave me something else to erase that disappointment of mine." Suddenly, the saleslady said to my dad, "Sir, is this what you're looking for?" (Of course it was said in Tagalog.) I looked, that was it! A gold-plated (Charizard) trading card! I was so delighted! Oh boy, there was still one left! I asked, just to make sure, "Miss, are there other Pokemon designs available?" (Of course in tagalog too. ^_^) The saleslady then brought more stocks out! There was actually 5 of them! Weee! I can choose my Pokemon! So, she opened each of them... Next to Charizard, she opened the others (in chronological order): Poliwhirl, Togepi, Jigglypuff (Oh, Jigglypuff!) and Pikachu. After deciding which to buy (between Charizard and Jigglypuff), guess who I ended up getting? Of course, Jigglypuff!!! ^_^
I was so happy. Can you believe I'd still be able to get my gold-plated trading card after almost 2 months? The first time I saw that was in late January or early February, I decided that I wanted that for my birthday present. I didn't get it. Instead, I got the Pokemon: Advanced Pokedex as my birthday present, then Pokemon friends, then Pokemon being aired in the Philippines again! That was such a birthday present... I never expected getting my gold-plated trading card plus a pillow case and a glass! I mean, getting all those things (mentioned before the previous sentence) was more than what I wanted, and still, I got every one of those things! What can I say, "God, you are so great. Aside from all the other blessings (family, friends, school...), You even give me Pokemon. That is not a necessity for me to live, but You still give those things to me. That is one of the reasons I won't trade you for Anybody else. Thanks a WHOLE LOT."
If my mother wouldn't have dragged me (and if I haven't let her drag me there) to that store in the 2nd floor which sold bags, I would have never seen that poster (near that store) which said that Funtasmic (the shop that sells those gold-plated trading cards) has relocated to the 2nd floor, then I would have never seen that shope again. God really does make ways, and you know what? My dad's right "If that is for you, it will wait for you.", and who knows? You might even get more than that thing you have ever wanted. ^_^

P.S. I visited Neutral Grounds Robinsons Galleria branch a while ago, it just opened this late April. I asked the clerk there if the Pokemon National Championships will push through. Guess what she said? She said it will! Hooray!!! ^_^
