Taggy taggy tag

Since I'm bored, and I was tagged by Anica, and I decided to do this survey! Weeee... =P

THE RULES: People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves. Tag 8 people. Those who are tagged cannot refuse. You cannot tag the person who tagged you. Continue this game by sending this to 8 other people.

1. Who makes your day worse?
People who make a lame excuse... and they get away with it.

2. At what age do/did you wish to marry?
Between 23 to 30?! Haha.

3. What's your all time favorite song?
Angels and Heroes by Brian Littrell ^^

4. Except for eating, drinking, bathing, sleeping, breathing, brushing your hair/teeth, and dressing up, what routine can't you live without?
Singing a praise and worship song =P

5. What are you doing right now?
Listening to Bethany Dillon's music while talking to April via cellphone while answering this survey =P

6. Is there someone you're thinking of right now? Who?
My blockmates. EH. We need to get a decent modern short story for our Literature class, plus we need a presentation for our Materials Engineering class on Moday! Kyaaaa. O_O

7. When you encounter a sad moment, what do you do?
I listen or sing to a song that lifts my spirits up. ^^

8. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Travel the world, and go do some missionary stuff? Haha.

9. What is your biggest fear?
Walking barefoot on malls, streets, blah blah. Everytime I have a dream like that, it creeps me out. Makes me check if I'm wearing my shoes/slippers before going out. LOL.

10. Is it okay to be numb?
Nope

11. How do you cope with boredom?
I surf the net, or make stories in my head, or talk to myself. (Yes, as in I refer to myself in third person and I answer back. LOL =P)

12. Is there someone you love who has hurt you in any way? Who?
Mmmmm... Is there any? I hadn't had a serious fight with anybody I love.

13. What is your ambition?
"Spread the Love. Spread the Word." Go figure. ^^ Kev, you better know what I mean! =D

14. If you have one wish, what would you wish for?
Joy in everyone's lives. ^^

15. Given a chance to make someone love you, who would it be?
Edward Cullen?! or maybe Li Syaoran?! I need to get over fictional characters and find someone REAL. =))

16. Do you believe that dreams do come true? Why?
Yep. "So why be alive if you don't follow your every dream?" That's a snippet from Biran Littrell's Angels and Heroes. Dreams are what we want to make out of life, and what else can we do but go for them? =P

17. What would you do if your answer in #15 reads this?
Dream on, Kamae. First things first, they need to get into MY WORLD. ^^

18. What are your hobbies?
Doodling, Looking for music that speak to my soul, watching stuff on YouTube, Making up stories no one ever gets to hear in my head...

19. What song would you like to be played at your wedding?
Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Hihihi.

20. What neg. and pos. things you like/hate to a girl/boy?

Positive - Has Jesus in his heart. ^^

21. What is your beauty secret?
O_O Huwaaaaat?! Well... I use sulfur soap in the evening and Cetaphil in the morning for my face. Does that help?

22. What do you like about yourself that you think people like as well?
Being "mabait?" Hahaha.

23.What do you do when people make gossips about you?
I especially don't like it when it gets way overblown. When it reaches that overblown state, I tell them that I do not like what's going on because it is not true at all.

27. How do you take care of your image?
I use liquid bath soap for my body. =P

Music for the Soul ^^

Before I go devour the "I Heart Revolution" Hillsong United CD, I need to go share this song. It's called "Wish" by Brian Littrell. The first time I heard the song, the lyrics pierced my heart. I want to go share this with anyone reading this post because it makes you think about our Saviour and His life. ^^

Wish - Brian Littrell

Wish by Brian Littrell
For just a moment
I wish I could have been there
To see Your first step, hear Your very first word
Tell me, did You ever fall and scrape Your knee?
Did You know Your wounds would one day heal the world?
For just one moment
I wish I could have seen You growing
Learning the ways of a carpenter's son
Just a little boy gazing at the stars
But You remember creating every one
If you passed by, would I have seen a child or a King?

Would I have known?
I wish I could have been there
My only wish is to see You, face to face
Wish I could have been there
Just to see You, Jesus, face to face

For just a moment
I wish I could have been there
When You left Your footprints upon the waves
To walk along beside You and never look away
Just Your whisper and the wind and sea obey
To see You feed the people
To feel Your healing in Your touch

I wish I could have been there
My only wish is to see You, face to face
Wish I could have been there
Just to see You, Jesus, face to face

To hear you pray in the garden alone
Laying down Your will with each tear
To see You walk that lonely road
Willing to die for me
And in that moment
I know I should have been there
You took my cross and gave Your life
And you live again, oh
And You live again!

Wish I could have been there
My only wish is to see You rise again
Wish I could have been there
My only wish is to see You, Jesus, face to face

Someday I'll be there, I'm gonna be there
I'll see Your face, Your mercy, Your grace
Someday, someday
I'm going to see You, Jesus
Face to face

*****

I especially like the lines "Just a little boy gazing at the stars... But You remember creating every one. If you passed by, would I have seen a child of a King? Would I have known?" Summarizing what I feel when I hear those words, it's GRABE. It makes me realize that my God also went through life, even through childhood. ^^ And those lines, "Did You ever fall and scrape Your knee? Did You know that Your wounds would one day heal the world?" My God is indeed an awesome God, and I praise Him for His immeasurable love. ^^

Twilight, David and other stuff...

It's been a month and two days - since my last post. I'm such a sporadic blogger. Haha. So, for those who are wondering what I've been up to this month, this are what happened:
  • I watched the 39th Anniversary concert of APO Hiking Society. It was a great performance, as usual. ^^ Their comedic timing and songs never fail to entertain me. =P
  • Bought 3 Praise & Worship CDs. I can't help it. Haha. It's my new "disease" right now. This is what currently makes me poor. LOL. I love "soaking" in music dedicated to God. It's weird for me to say this, but, when I listen and I *connect* with my spirit in worshipping my Creator - it's the best feeling in the world. =P
  • After months of organizing my iTunes and almost a year of wishing for an iPod nano, I finally have one! Weee... ^^

Meet David, my iPod nano. I bring him everywhere I go. ^^ And, if anyone's wondering where on earth I got such a name... I got it from King David, the man after God's own heart. ^^ His name didn't come from David Archuleta, David Cook, David Beckham or those hot Davids there. LOL. Back to iPod David - I've always told myself that if ever I got an iPod, it would contain tons of praise & worship songs. I love worshipping God, and having an iPod means I can "tune in" to God anytime I wanted to. Haha. I sound real crazy right now. I sound like a Jesus freak. LOL. Oh well, I pretty much am. My top 25 songs are all praise & worship. =P Since David came along, I've always been listening to at least 3 praise & worship songs a day.
  • Adding to my previous *point*, my parents finally decided to say bye-bye to my 2-year-comatosed desktop, so they bought me a new one. Yey. I just pointed to them that 20-inch iMac, and because of 0% interest plus 24 months to pay plus me seldom asking for stuff, they bought me one, there and then! So, I'm pretty much happy with my tech life - if there's such a thing. LOL.
  • I've been sidelining as a tutor in Pisay. ^^ I've always thought that teaching is the most rewarding profession, and yeah, that's true. I got to look back at how I was then when I was wrestling with second year, like my tutee. It was so hard then, but I can handle it now generally with ease. Those tough years in Pisay really paid off... =P It feels good helping people out with what you know. ^^
  • I went to Dana's 18th birthday party last September 27. Dana is my best friend and my schoolmate until 3rd grade. It's so good to see her again, and it's such an honor to be one of her 18 (song) lines - I still can't understand how I managed to cry and smile while I sand and prayed for her... ^^ It was tough getting to the debut. Me and my Dad almost didn't make it because the car's driver's-side front tire got flat (as in busted, un-inflatable) due to EDSA's incredibly rocky/damaged road. Thank God He's always there. While me and my dear Father side-parked outside the Subaru showroom, a man named Reuben appeared - out of nowhere - and helped us get that busted tire replaced. So, we arrived in Dana's debut just before the program started. =P
  • Lastly, the "Twilight bug got me too. After months of wondering why everybody's so hooked with it, I read it last Sunday through Monday, and I now understand why: Edward Cullen is so hot! *faints* Yes, it is so sad. I have a crush on a fictional character - again. Looky:

It's my Edward fanart. I drew it for at most, 20 minutes. Haha. I guess this is what happens when you never had a boyfriend + don't have anyone to crush on. I am a sad case. LOL. Oh well, I just wish my Edward comes one of these days. Hahaha. (P.S. I still like Li Syaoran. ^^)
That's all for now. This post is awfully long - again. ^^ Till then!

My Artistic Pursuits...

August 31, 2008 - my first day of term break... and what did I do?

Inspired by my very good friend, Daryl, and my fear/panic of forgetting how to draw people, I did this:

I know, it's cartoonish, and she's probably a cross of Tinkerbell, Daphne and some other cartoon characters. Plus, the coloring's kind of scribbly and it's only a headshot (I forgot how to draw hands. I need to practice!). But, I'm pretty happy with the result, since this was the first time I did everything using only my Wacom tablet and my laptop... She's probably my most "alive" digital artwork to date. Haha. My tracing's still kind of rough, but I'm sure I'll improve. I'll try doing my pencil sketches, and let's see what will happen with my digital art. ^^

P.S. I forgot to mention! I love her eyes (The shading, at least. The outline of her left iris is not that good... but I like the way her eyes "hit some light"). Hihihi. =P

P.P.S. Please give me any suggestion on what to draw. I need to do something that will get me to the next level! Haha.

-Kamae

Sweet

It's my finals week, and despite all the busy-ness, I am still posting in this blog. Hahaha. This song, (God) Bless the Broken Road, has been stuck in my head since the first time I heard it in Y!Music a few days ago... and it really stuck to me... The song was playing in my head while I was in the middle of answering my finals!

I love the song because of: (a) the melody, and (b) the message. It's some sort of love song, but not quite. I'm scatter-brained, as usual. Anyway... Summing up the lyrics, the message goes something like this: Before finding you, I've gone through many heartbreaks and disappointments, but I know, it all happened according to God's plan so that I will be the best me and so that I will be able to I meet you.

Now, that's really sweet. ^^ Imagine how God molds you through the stuff you face in life. Kahit sa love life, hinahanda ka talaga Niya. LOL. I have yet to experience those, but it's comforting to know He is always in control. =P

God Bless The Broken Road - Rascal Flatts

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

Now... gotta go back and study for my finals! Till then! =P
